Our Organization’s Milestones

2002

In 2002, ECCL invited graduate students of Rutgers University’s Bloustein School of Planning to develop “A Vision For Eggerts Crossing” as part of their academic studio class. The students provided an analysis of the community and presented it to residents. The development of the final “Vision” involved 40 to 50 community residents, township officials, the township planner, and RLM Architect. Since its development, each year has seen a different element of the “Vision” become a reality. The “Vision” and the Bloustein graduate students received the 2003 award for “Achievement and Planning” from the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association.
